the blahs

I think I have the blahs tonight, so this might be a really boring blog post, but apparently I'm not letting that stop me from jabbering away anyhow. I took some pictures of things I've been making, but they are all so boring and uninspiring. Here are the pickles I made, I'm not sure how we'll be able to wait another seven weeks (at the very least) for them to cure.

I have a stack of fabric for some fun Spring projects, and I'm too blah to work on any of it.

Sewing

Left to right: a light, Spring-y top, grey linen for a skirt with rickrack around the bottom, and some birds for a quilt for a baby girl on the way. I have no idea what sort of quilt yet, once these blahs go away, I'm sure I'll think of something.

Maybe Winston can perk me up, what do you think?

  1. Could it be you have the blahs because spring isn’t coming fast enough? Fabrics are cute. Of course Winston is adorable!

  2. The bird fabric will make a lovely quilt! I love that line. Winston’s nose is so cute! I hope you get over the blahs soon…it’s hard to be productive when you have the blahs. 🙂

  3. I’m sorry you have the blahs!! If it makes you feel any better, I do too and came here to cheer me up. And it worked! Because I love your site, and even when you have the blahs you are inspiring!

  4. no, it looks like Winston is going to be no help, it looks like he has a case of the doggie blahs.

  5. Don’t be blah! I’ve had the blahs lately, too, but started taking daily walks (I work from home and am practically glued to the chair in front of my computer) and it perked me up. All that nonsense about exercise being good for you, sadly, is true. Ha! :o) Hope you feel better!

  6. I love your blog posts and I do not think they are blah, I go for walks in a neighborhood that I never visited before, a quiet drive or a thrift store in an area I am not familiar with. It picks up my mood and I feel good. I also just moved to New York so there is a lot for me to do everyday is an adventure!!! soon I will share some picture on my blog.

  7. I think you are right, he might have the blahs too.

  8. Oh Winston! he never knew!

  9. I know what you mean by feeling blah..We all have those days, right?! Those pickles look delicious! And I love those fabrics. Fun, fun, fun. Oh, before I forget, you earrings are on their way! I hope you love them! 🙂

  10. Winston looks like me this weekend! It has rained in Atlanta since Thursday ( I am working on our Ark)and it is supposed to rain everyday next week except Monday and Tuesday. The fun! I bought the coolest quilt book the other day-I think it’s called Material Obsession(?)(too lazy to go back upstairs and get it)(such a slug). I have decided to make K the quilt with the dolls and houses (you have to check it out, it’s too cute)and I am making H the cowboy one (I am going to improvise and use a different theme, but use the pattern). That’s what I have been doing all weekend, staring at that book, cutting quilt squares and dreaming of spring break! Ahem, we still haven’t planned it- everyone has their own idea of what this break should entail. It’s been like trying to go to dinner with all of us- frustrating!

say something nice...
